Young performer Nene Royal brought amusement to fans with her candid response after reporters asked about a special tribute track composed by veteran music icon Aed Carabao. Her unvarnished honesty and subtly flustered facial expression quickly became a talking point across social media.
Earlier, on September 18, veteran rockers Aed Carabao and Pan Thanaporn collaborated on an encouraging song titled “Nene, Nai Nae Mak” (Nene, You’re Truly Great), dedicated to supporting Nene during her competitive run on America’s Got Talent 2026 before she ultimately clinched the championship.
Following its release, the song generated substantial traction online, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), where one clip surpassed 6.3 million views, sparking varied commentary regarding its musical style and lyrics.
When members of the press directly asked Nene what she would like to say to Aed Carabao and the team who composed the song, the young champion reacted with wide eyes and noticeable surprise before answering sincerely that she had not yet had the time to listen to it due to her intense focus on AGT, but added that she would definitely make sure to listen now that she knew about it.
The candid moment prompted widespread amusement among netizens, who shared screenshots of her expression and teased that her natural, unfiltered reaction spoke louder than words.
Alongside her competitive success, Nene’s popularity has surged rapidly, reportedly securing nine commercial endorsement deals spanning skincare, beauty, food, and beverage brands, with further major corporate sponsorships expected to follow.
