Ploy Chermarn Challenges Ex-Manager to Live TV Face-Off After Court Ruling

A high-profile dispute between renowned Thai actress Laila “Ploy” Chermarn Boonyasak and her former personal manager, Note Chakriya Samuthkiri, reignited publicly following a court ruling regarding financial management allegations.

On October 8, 2026, Note posted an update on social media announcing that the court had dismissed both civil and criminal fraud complaints brought against her by Ploy. Expressing relief and gratitude toward her legal counsel and supporters, Note wrote that justice had been served, asserting that the outcome proved her innocence and concluding with the phrase: “the truth is singular.”

Ploy responded with a sharp public rebuttal, emphasizing that a court verdict represents the procedural conclusion of a legal case rather than a license to present a one-sided account as the entire truth.

The actress explained that she had chosen to remain silent previously to avoid turning personal matters into a public spectacle. However, she felt compelled to speak out after the court outcome was framed in a way that implied only one side possessed the truth. Ploy affirmed that she respected the judicial ruling while maintaining that the outcome did not erase the facts and reasons that initially prompted her to take legal action.

Challenging her former manager’s use of the slogan “the truth is singular,” Ploy concluded her response by publicly inviting Note to appear together on television program Hone Krasae to discuss the entire matter openly. Host Num Kanchai subsequently acknowledged the invitation with a brief comment indicating the show is waiting, drawing widespread attention from entertainment followers.
